Christmas is one of the most popular holidays in the world, and every year millions of families celebrate it. It is such a wonderful time where friends and family spend valuable time together creating long-lasting memories.
When I was young I would wake up early on Christmas day at around 6:00 am. I was too excited and I would try to wake up my parents so we could all open our Christmas gifts. I had 4 older brothers and sisters and I was the youngest. I always got some of the best gifts for Christmas and I was so happy.
Christmas is still very important to me and I celebrate it every year. Do you know what the word "Christmas" means? It comes from a person named "Jesus Christ". Christmas celebrates his birthday which happened over 2,000 years ago. Jesus is the most important person in the Christian faith. When Jesus was born, some men came and gave gifts to him and his family, this is why we give gifts now for Christmas.
